Defining Net Classes
Context: BoardSim
You can categorize a group of nets as a net class. This enables you to select a group of nets at once (by net class) or edit settings for a group of nets when the software provides this option.
For example, you can create a net class for a set of data nets on the top layer in a DDRx design and name the class “DDR_data_top”.

Procedure
1. Choose the Setup > Net Classes and Constraints menu item.
2. Click Set Up Net Classes.
3. Click New Net Class, type a name for the class, then click OK.
4. Select nets from the list on the left, select the class from the list on the right, then click
the arrow button to assign the nets to the class.
Note
When you assign a net to a class, any other nets associated with the net (including
the other net of a selected differential pair) are also added to the net class. For
example, if you select a net that is connected to another net by a passive component,
both nets are added to the net class.
Note
You cannot add a net to more than one net class.
5. Click OK.
