Job Responsibility:
Pre-Sales Support (60%)
● Accompany Altium TSM, Channel Partners, their Account Managers and technical staff on sales
appointments and/or conference calls
● Provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, and seminars
● Assist sales in technical development of programs, materials and sales strategy
● Complete Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, enabling Altium sales management to focus on
large account opportunity expansion
● Help Channel Partners and TSM establish and manage technical relationships with large
customer accounts
● Serve as the technical consultant for large-scale customer proposals
● Develop training materials and co-develop sales programs and contents, from a technical
perspective
● Deliver public and private training classes onsite (and web demos)
Technical Support (30%)
● Provide post sales technical support and training for Channel Partner accounts
● Provide second level support and training for new Channel Partners, their AM’s and technical
staff as needed
● Provide general product support via email, phone or user forums
● Assist in the development of written materials such as technical notes, knowledge base articles
and product training materials
● Support service project and system integration development(consulting, testing and
implementing)
● Establish, maintain and manage internal relationships among Altium Sales, Support teams &
R&D
Self Development (build and maintain technical knowledge level) (10%)
● Work with early product releases to understand new features and their value
● Remain current on key industry issues and trends e.g. through magazine and web articles, white
papers, press releases, conference proceedings, trade shows, seminars, tutorials and other
methods
● Concerned about the competitor's products, understand their strengths
Qualification/requirements:
● Electronic Engineering qualification preferred or equivalent experience
● 5+ years technical/pre-sales experience
● Experience in a customer supportfile:///C:\Users\ADMINI~1\AppData\Local\Temp\V7(XMWRN]{G8~CI}BCCR3QC.gifrvice environment (preferred)
● Knowledge of the electronics industry including familiarity with key issues, design processes and
products
● Knowledge of PCB design, FPGA design, system design and/or embedded software development
